APPALACHIA – (Nov. 4, 2021) A family of five in Floyd County, Kentucky is receiving renovations and an addition to their home with the help of Christian Appalachian Project’s (CAP) Housing Program and the caring employees at CESO, a comprehensive firm, headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, that provides surveying, civil engineering, environmental, land planning, and architecture services.
Christian Appalachian Project names 2021 Champions of Appalachia
APPALACHIA – (Nov. 11, 2021) Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) has selected Eula Hall Health Center and Big Sandy Health Care Inc., and MEI Total Elevator Solutions as its 2021 Champions of Appalachia. The award recognizes individuals and organizations that have had a positive, long-term impact in the lives of people in the region.
Partnership with Big Sandy offers free GED classes for community
APPALACHIA – (Nov. 2, 2021) Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is partnering with Big Sandy Community and Technical College to offer free GED classes in conjunction with Kentucky Skills U. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-4 p.m. at CAP’s Foley Community Center located at 6134 KY-80, Martin, KY 41649.

American Electric Power Foundation provides funds for home repair
APPALACHIA – (Oct. 8, 2021) Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) received a $50,000 grant from the American Electric Power Foundation and Kentucky Power for home renovation and repair to help families in need in Appalachia.
Christian Appalachian Project collects 13,676 pounds of food during annual Hunger Walk
APPALACHIA – (Sept. 23, 2021) Christian Appalachian Project’s (CAP) Grateful Bread Food Pantry celebrated 10 years of spotlighting food insecurity in Eastern Kentucky. The annual Hunger Walk is held each September for Hunger Awareness Month. Partnerships with local schools and businesses helped collect 13,676 pounds of food which will be used to help families in need in CAP’s service area.
