Submitted by CAP Volunteer on Mon, 06/08/2015

We are still seeking compassionate, mission-driven individuals to be a part of our August 2015 long-term volunteer class.

Prospective volunteers should be motivated by and ready to make a commitment to our three pillars - Service, Community and Spirituality.  Volunteers serve in Eastern Kentucky in programs addressing issues of poverty, education, substandard housing, hunger, and more.  We have several service placements for this fall still needing filled, especially those in our Home Repair program where no experience is necessary and training is provided.

Read more about our available positions here. Room and board provided for all volunteers in intentional community. Long-term volunteers also receive a modest stipend, health insurance, and potential loan deferment. Ideal candidates are compassionate, flexible, self-motivated, have great interpersonal and leadership skills, and are eligible to drive CAP vehicles (21 or older with a good driving record).  We do have a limited number of positions for exceptional candidates ages 18-20.  Apply online or contact us at 606-256-0973 or volunteer@chrisapp.org with questions or to talk to a former/current long-term volunteer.
