Application Process

Although late applications will be considered, interested candidates are strongly encouraged to submit their completed application (including application form, three references, and essay) on or before the application date to receive top consideration for interviews and potential service placement. Candidates will be notified no later than two weeks after the receipt of their completed application if they will be invited for an interview. Interviews are available in one of two formats.

Option One (strongly encouraged): On-site interview

On-site interviews are 1-3 days long and consist of at least one dinner and devotion in a CAP Volunteer Community, interviews with the Admissions Coordinators (personal interview and the preliminary benefit/policy review), and interviews with 2-3 program managers. Whenever possible, applicants will spend part of their visit serving in a program or shadowing a current volunteer. Travel reimbursement available for those invited for an on-site interview.

Option Two: Video interviews

Applicants interview with Admissions Coordinators (personal interview and the preliminary benefit/policy review), then with 2-3 program managers. This interview option typically takes place over the course of 1-3 weeks. Skype interviews may take place at any time after we have reviewed your completed application.

After their final interview, candidates will receive a feedback survey to complete. Once the survey has been submitted, the candidate will be notified within one week whether they will be offered a placement.
