In order to decide the best fit for community volunteers we first ask how much time they plan on volunteering and if they are looking for a part-time or full-time opportunities. Each of our programs in Rockcastle, McCreary, Jackson, Johnson, and Floyd, and Fayette Counties have different needs and this helps us connect your gifts to the program that will best utilize them. When our Disaster Relief Program has been activated we are in need of people to help organize behind the scenes, distribute goods, make assessments, and muck out houses and buildings. The most important skill for these volunteers is flexibility and patience as each disaster response is unique and requires different approaches. Interested in joining us? Members of the CAP Volunteer Corps serve between three weeks and one year, connecting participants with home repair, food security, and other vital services.
