How You Can make a Difference
Many families living in poverty cannot afford new clothing, school supplies, and other necessities throughout the school year. Our School Readiness program equips children with the tools and resources they need to succeed in school – because education is crucial to breaking the cycle of poverty in Appalachia.
Share in the joy of Christmas with families in need in Appalachia by sending toys, clothing, and other Christmas gifts. During the weeks leading up to Christmas, participant families gather together for a celebration consisting of prayers, a retelling of the Christmas story, and distribution of donated gifts.
Steppingstones helps individuals achieve life goals like education, employment, and housing. Through personalized caseworker support and community partnerships, participants receive guidance and resources. The program empowers lasting change, focusing on practical steps, encouragement, and comprehensive assistance for families seeking greater independence and stability.
