Provide Comfort and Dignity to our Elders

Box 1 3 1
Compassionate Assistance

Many seniors in Appalachia experience isolation. CAP caseworkers visit regularly to provide companionship and provide necessary transportation. For seniors who live in remote areas and/or are unable to drive, regular tasks like doctors’ visits, grocery shopping, and other chores can present a challenge.

Home Repairs

Many seniors cannot complete home repairs on their own, often resulting in dangerous, inaccessible living conditions. CAP staff and volunteers provide home repairs for seniors, to ensure that their homes remain safe, warm, and dry.

In-Home Respite

Caregivers of seniors and individuals with disabilities often go without rest. CAP sends trained staff members to visit homes and provide regular support, so that primary caregivers have time to take a break and address other important family and personal needs.

It means a lot to me how CAP helps me out. The community would be bad without CAP. There are not a lot of resources here to help people in need. I would say thank you to the donors for what you have done for me.
