Financial donations help CAP respond to everchanging needs during a crisis response. The generosity of our donors allows CAP to provide critical services and supplies to impacted communities.

Call for Help

The Crisis Cleanup Hotline connects volunteers and organizations to efficiently coordinate disaster response, reducing duplication and improving communication. This approach helps more survivors across large areas, especially during major crises when many groups and volunteers are working together at once.

When the unimaginable happens, you can answer the call to help our neighbors in need. Disaster Relief volunteers are essential in our response efforts. They provide initial clean up and sanitation and debris removal while other volunteers cook hot meals and offer administrative services.

Immediate and long-term disaster relief for our neighbors

Christian Appalachian Project’s Disaster Relief Program provides immediate assistance to Appalachian areas suffering from floods, winter storms, tornadoes, and other major catastrophes.

Disasters disproportionately affect people living in poverty, particularly within the Appalachian region. Extreme geographic isolation, lack of adequate response crews and facilities, and poor roads increase the impact of any emergency situation.

Our relief is twofold: We provide food, water, and emergency supplies through our Gifts in Kind program, and our volunteers and staff aid with home and property cleanup and repair in the wake of major disasters.

We respond to these situations with speed and efficiency while remaining keenly aware of this region’s specific needs.

It’s hard to explain 'thank you'. If somebody gives you a bottle of water, you say thank you. But how do you say thank you now. This is beyond that. There should be a different word made up for something like this. God bless you all.
