Lend-a-Leader is an initiative to help CAP expand its capacity through skilled volunteers sponsored by their employers. Without skilled volunteers, we would be unable to repair the number of homes we complete every year. We could repair many more with the help of additional volunteers.
We have been blessed to have numerous businesses send skilled volunteers to the mountains and welcome additional organizations who wish to serve the people of Appalachia.
Join our monthly mailing list to receive one day opportunities for electricians, plumbers, dry wall installers, and painters. Respond only if you have employees that could be available at that time.
We are always seeking skilled leaders who can lead a team of unskilled volunteers in minor and major home repair projects. Leaders will complete an evaluation before being sent to a worksite. Minimum one-week commitment.
Send a skilled team to complete repairs on a home for one of our participants. These teams are filled with volunteers who are able to take on a project with minimal instruction. Projects and supplies will be provided by CAP.
