Urgent: Volunteers Needed

Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals for a variety of mission-critical positions serving low-income families and the marginalized in Eastern Kentucky. With the help of long-term (one year) and short-term (3 weeks+) volunteers, CAP can repair more substandard housing, teach more children, help more families in crisis, and provide access to healthcare and social support to more homebound senor citizens. Learn more about all of our current volunteer and AmeriCorps positions.

Volunteering with CAP offers a transformative experience of Service, Community, and Spirituality. All volunteers have the opportunity to live in intentional community with other volunteers, sharing in dinner and reflection together several nights a week. Volunteers who have pets or who simply desire their own space have the option of finding their own housing in the area. Long-term volunteers receive a modest stipend, health insurance or premium assistance, professional development opportunities, potential student loan forbearance, and a potential AmeriCorps Education Award to assist with federal student loans or future education expenses.

Are you called to the mountains? Volunteers are needed this Fall and beyond. Whether you are recent graduate, newly retired, or at any stage in life, your time and talents are needed here in Eastern Kentucky. We invite you to join CAP as we build hope, transform lives, and share Christ's love through service in Appalachia. Apply today, or complete the form below and we will be in touch with you soon.
