Take a Mission Trip in 2016

Every year CAP welcomes teams from churches, schools, businesses, and other groups to serve for one week in our Home Repair program. These Mission Teams serve during the months of March-October and are a vital part of our mission in tackling substandard housing here in Eastern Kentucky. Many of our participants face tremendous challenges due to the deteriorating condition of their homes. Leaking roofs, sagging floors, and broken or drafty windows and doors are common. Some are without running water, electricity or a reliable and safe heat source. Others need accessibility modifications in order to use their bathrooms or safely exit/enter their homes. Mission teams are an invaluable part of our Home Repair program's efforts to address the needs of all those waiting for repair assistance. October was our last month of the 2015 season and we were blessed to host teams from Fox Valley (WI), University of Notre Dame, First Baptist Church of Geneva, First Presbyterian of Douglasville and several others. Take a look below at the hard work our groups put in last month and for more photos visit our Facebook page.

We're currently booking groups for our 2016 Mission Team season.  Consider whether your church, family, school or other group might be able to join us in the next year.  A minimum of only three people is required to be considered a group and a fee of $400 (per person) covers meals, lodging and job site materials.  For more information email volunteer@chrisapp.org or call us at 800-755-5322.
