Immediate volunteer need: Elderly Services Caseworkers

Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) has an immediate need for long-term and short-term volunteers to serve as caseworkers in CAP's Elderly Services program. Elderly Services volunteers help seniors without other sources of support access the services, medical care, and human connection that would otherwise be absent. By providing services such as home visitation and social activities, caseworkers ease the effects of rural isolation and allow homebound seniors citizens to remain in their homes longer. This opportunity requires volunteers who are 21 years old or older with a good driving record and who can make a commitment of at least three months. Volunteers must be able to travel extensively by car and help elderly participants in and out of vehicles. Although we normally accept long-term volunteers in August and January only, we will accept volunteers for this position early.

CAP Volunteers make a commitment to Service, Community, and Spirituality. Most volunteers live in intentional community, sharing in community dinner and devotion four nights a week. Volunteers who prefer to live on their own may choose our Independent Living option.

If you are in a position to fill this volunteer need, we invite you to apply. Want to learn more about our Volunteer Program? Complete the form below and someone will be in touch soon.
