Elderly Commodities at Grateful Bread Food Pantry

Take a look into an Elderly Commodities distribution day at CAP's Grateful Bread Food Pantry in Rockcastle county. Last week's distribution was a huge team effort between long-term volunteers Anne, Elizabeth and Carolina along with community and short-term volunteers and CAP employees.

Next volunteers will pack 120 boxes with the different food items.

This month's box included rolled oats, apple juice, elbow macaroni, potatoes, canned beef, canned corn, peanut butter, milk, cheese, and applesauce.

Boxes are packed and ready to go! Long-Term volunteer Elizabeth chats with a community volunteer as they wait for participant's to come pick up their boxes.

120 Elderly participants will each receive a box. Some come to the Pantry to pick up their box. For those who do not have transportation Long-Term volunteers from Grateful Bread along with the Elderly and Family Advocacy programs will make home deliveries.
