Coming and Going

By Kate Stefanowicz

One of the hardest things about being at CAP has been having to say goodbye to some great people. Some I only knew for a week, a month or what felt like my whole life. Staci, one of our housemates in Floyd, left us this week. She has finished her time at CAP and is off to start another chapter of her life. We all miss her terribly because each person in our house brings something to our community and its different without her here. As we said goodbye to Staci we also found out that we will be having two new volunteers in our house which is exciting.

On another note, the house that Im working on is almost done, we should finish it up this week. This also brings up goodbyes as well. We have been working on this house for about 6 weeks now and have gotten to know the family pretty well, so it will be hard to say goodbye to them as well.

Its not goodbye, its Ill see you later

Kate is a long-term volunteer in Housing. She lives in Floyd Volunteer House.
