Christian Appalachian Project names 2016-2017 Board of Directors

NEWS RELEASE - August 31, 2016 

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) announced the appointment of its 2016-2017 Board of Directors at their August board meeting. Each board member serves a one-year term.

For more than 50 years, CAP has worked in Eastern Kentucky to make a difference in the lives of children and their families, individuals with disabilities and seniors living in poverty. The nonprofit touches the lives of more than one million people each year.

"CAP’s Board is filled with servant-leaders, each of whom have a heart for people in need in Appalachia,” said Guy Adams, president/CEO of CAP. “I am privileged to serve with this group who are committed to building hope, transforming lives, and sharing Christ’s love through service in Appalachia.”

Kevin Doyle has been the chief financial officer at Congleton-Hacker Co. since 2007. Doyle is a certified CPA and is a University of Kentucky alum. Doyle will serve as Chairman of the Board for CAP. Shanna Elliott, a graduate of Georgetown College, will serve as Vice Chair.

“We know our board is deeply committed to our mission,” Adams added. “Their passion for our work builds on a foundation of service and compassion for those we serve in Appalachia.”
