Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) welcomes AmeriCorps service members

Christian Appalachian Project is pleased to welcome AmeriCorps members to serve with us for the 2016-2017 service year. AmeriCorps is a national service program that engages Americans of all ages and backgrounds in service to address the most critical problems in our nation’s communities.

At CAP, AmeriCorps members provide home repair, education, and hunger and poverty relief. Upon the completion of their service, AmeriCorps members serving for a year with CAP earn an education award of up to $5,775 to pay back qualified student loans or to finance college, graduate school, or vocational training. Members serving for the entirety of summer camp receive an award of $1,222. AmeriCorps members are eligible for deferment of qualified student loans during their service term.

It’s not too late to become an AmeriCorps member with CAP for the coming year. Apply today to be considered for our August class. We are also accepting applications for members to begin in October and January. See available positions.
