Do you want to make a difference in your community? Your country? Your world? By serving with Christian Appalachian Project, you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of people in need while growing personally, professionally, and spiritually. Our mission is powered by the gifts and enthusiasm of individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, and we believe service is a transformative experience for both program participants and the individuals who serve alongside them. Whether you can volunteer for a week or longer, or commit to a paid service position through AmeriCorps, we have opportunities for you to serve, connect, and grow. We'd love to hear from you!

One Mission. Many Ways to Serve.

Service Spotlight - Summer Camp

Have a blast this summer while making a difference in the lives of Appalachian youth! A week at Camp AJ or Camp Shawnee can transform a child’s life. They have an opportunity to spend time outdoors, learn skills, make friends, and discover a deeper relationship with God all in seven days. While all the activities are fun for the children, they also allow them to learn essential life skills such as leadership, safety, team building, self-esteem, and respect for others. Got questions? Email for more information to find out about benefits like the financial stipend, travel reimbursement, and educational awards!

Paid Service Opportunities

CAP AmeriCorps members serve between three months and one year, connecting participants with home repair, food security, and other vital services.

Summer Camp

Counselors, medical personnel, and cooks are needed to be summertime superheroes to children in need. You can make a lifelong impact on young lives through your service.

Skilled and Seasonal

Use your construction skills, love for cooking, or nursing degree to support our alternative spring break, mission group, or summer camp programs.

Service Trips

Make your mission trip right here in America. Your group can play a vital role in our home repair programs in the months of May through November.

Spring Break

Connect your college or high school ministry with our alternative spring break program. Volunteers provide life-changing home repairs while serving alongside students from other groups.

Community/Disaster

You can support your neighbors right where you live as a Community Volunteer, or be part of relief efforts when disaster strikes as a member of our Disaster Relief response team.
