Food Drive 2010

foodIt’s shocking but true.

Right here in the United States of America, many of our fellow citizens do not have enough to eat. I’m committed to meeting this urgent need.

But I can’t do it without your help!

It only costs $2 to provide food and groceries to someone in need, so for only $8 you can help a family of four! That’s because much of the food and supplies are donated to CAP, which is how we’re able to do so much with so little.

That’s why I’m writing to ask you to join me in the 2010 Annual FOOD DRIVE. This year’s campaign is a huge push to make sure America’s poorest have enough to eat.

The 2010 Annual FOOD DRIVE is created to reach families like Patty’s.

Patty and her husband David have custody of their two grandchildren— Nate, who is 13, and Sarah, who is 11. The couple barely scrapes by—living solely on disability income.

They constantly worry about how they can provide for their grandchildren—and too often, they fall short.

If we don’t reach families like this with nourishing food soon, I’m afraid they may never have a chance to catch up. That’s a terrible shame, because it takes just one act of kindness from someone like you to help save this family and give them hope.

This is why I’m calling on you to join the fight and do your part. Please dig down deep and give a generous gift for the 2010 Annual FOOD DRIVE.

Thank you in advance for your generous gift. I promise to use it wisely. God bless you.
