Position: Maintenance Technician I
Program: Facility Maintenance

Work Hours and Location: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. (Occasional evenings/weekends) Mt. Vernon, KY

Position Summary: Performs wide variety of skilled plumbing, electrical, electronics, H.V.A.C., carpentry and other tasks in preventive maintenance; troubleshoots and repairs equipment, buildings, grounds of western region of CAP; and provides 24-hour on call services to respond to after hours emergencies at all western region CAP facilities.

Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED plus completion of a technical specialty program of over 18 months and up to 4 years' length in electricity and/or carpentry, and EPA certification in refrigerant handling and recovery.

Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of successful experience in job-related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position: Maintenance Technician III
Program: Facility Maintenance 
Reference Number: 2922

Work Hours and Location: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. (Occasional evenings/weekends) Mt. Vernon, KY

Position Summary: Responsible for development and completion of assigned facility maintenance projects. Provides a leadership role in all areas of job duties.  Performs a wide variety of tasks including skilled plumbing, electronics, H.V.A.C., carpentry and other preventative maintenance; troubleshoots and repairs equipment; installs new equipment; provides 24-hour on-call services to after hours emergencies at all regional CAP facilities; and assists with assignment of work orders to other Facility Maintenance personnel.

Education Requirements: Associate degree or completion of a technical specialty program of over 18 months and up to 4 years’ length in H.V.A.C. or electricity, and EPA universal certification in refrigerant handling and recovery. Requires one or more of the following, Master Electrician, Journeyman Plumbers or Journeyman HVAC licenses.

Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of successful experience in job-related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
