Position Summary: Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) seeks a self-motivated and team-oriented individual to serve as Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator.  This individual will respond to inquiries and develop relationships with prospective volunteers as well as leverage relationships with campus and other partners, current CAP employees and current and former CAP volunteers to enhance recruitment activities.  Additionally, the Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator will oversee all digital marketing activities related to volunteer recruitment (social media, email marketing, website content creation and management, search engine marketing and digital advertising) and the development of all recruitment materials

The CAP Volunteer Program engages individuals and groups in both volunteer and AmeriCorps service in support of CAP's human service programs.  Individuals make a commitment ranging from three weeks to one year.  The core of CAP's Volunteer Program is our long-term residential program, in which individuals make a commitment of one year to the program pillars of Service, Community and Spirituality/reflection.

Experience with a faith-based service year program, as well as prior recruitment, sales or marketing experience is desired.  Must have superior communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, a strong prospect focus and a desire to fully support CAP's mission and core values.

Education Requirements: Associates Degree in related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:  2 or more years of successful experience in related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Program: Grateful Breads/Threadz

Position: Food Service Coordinator/Driver
Program: Family Life Child and Family Development Center

Position: Philanthropy Manager III (Major Gifts)

Position Summary: Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) seeks a dynamic and team-oriented individual as Philanthropy Manager III, to function as Estates and Trust Officer, Dynamic Team Leader, Events planner, and Compliance Manager.  This position will attend to and troubleshoot complex planned gifts including IRAs, gifts of stock, and real estate.  Additionally, they will proactively lead a team to support Philanthropy Department functions including Presidential and Planned/Major Gifts administration; Donor Event Planning; Church Relations; and State Registration compliance. 

CAP is the leading human services organization helping people in need in Appalachia, the 32nd largest human services organization and the 295th largest charity in America, is headquartered in Paintsville, KY, in Johnson County. This position is located in Lexington, KY.

The Philanthropy Manager III reports to the Director of Philanthropy and serves as a member of the Major Gifts team, working closely with other members of the Philanthropy Division, including Direct Response Fundraising, Communications, and Customer Service.

Involvement with a faith-based and/or human service organization is preferred. Desirable assets include: personal integrity, a desire to fully support CAP’s mission and core values (lives Christian principles, has a servant’s heart, and is compassionate). A demonstrated knowledge of key development areas, especially major and planned gifts, competent oral and written communication skills, and proactive team leadership, and working collaboratively with others is expected.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Experience Requirements:  2 or more years of Accounting Experience.  Emphasis on charitable giving and compliance preferred.  Also required is 2 or more years of effective team leadership experience.  Events planning is preferred.
